Why Join the NMAIMH?

All infants and their caregivers deserve supports and services that encourage nurturing relationships. Professionals from a variety of disciplines, including social workers, nurses, psychologists, early childhood specialists, home visitors, counselors, promotoras, doulas, and others can use a range of infant mental health strategies to foster healthy development. By joining NMAIMH, you help us to move one step closer to creating a cohesive system of infant mental health in New Mexico.

To join us, please print and complete the membership brochure. Then mail the completed form along with your membership dues to NMAIMH.

• Networking with a diverse and interdisciplinary group of infant mental health professionals;
• Subscription to the NMAIMH Members listserv;
• Notification of professional development opportunities;
• Access to a nationally recognized professional endorsement system for infant-family practitioners;
• Participation in policy-making activities;
• Participation in bi-monthly NMAIMH Board of Directors meetings.
• Affiliation with the World Association of Infant Mental Health (WAIMH), a not-for-profit organization for scientific and educational professionals whose central aim is to promote the mental wellbeing and healthy development of infants throughout the world, taking into account cultural, regional, and environmental variations, and to generate and disseminate scientific knowledge.
• The NMAIMH is a member of the Consortium of US Affiliates to the WAIMH, providing a unified voice among United States-based associations for Infant Mental Health when interacting with our international colleagues.
